The Engine Room

If you are in Years 3-7, then Engine Room is the place for you!

The Engine Room

We want to lead our primary school aged children to a place of such intimacy with Jesus that they can stand up and confidently say “I am one of his favourites and I have to do nothing to earn that!” On Sundays we want to partner with parents in helping our older kids understand that God is pursuing them with his love and that he longs to be with them. We simply want to create a place where they can respond to him with all their hearts.
Engine Room is a place for our older children to be really challenged to deepen their relationship with Jesus. We want to see these children engaging in intimate worship, developing compassion and serving others from a place of knowing and loving him deeply. Because they are a little bit older, and able to read more confidently, we want to help them develop a deep love of the Bible, and see them learn how to read God’s word for themselves and learn how to apply it to their lives. For worship, this group will be with all the other children for one week, in with the adults on one of the weeks, and then have worship in their own age group on the weeks in between. Another key aim for this age will be looking at ways to facilitate them serving in the wider church body, and training them so that they can be involved in things like HOTS, Treasure Hunting, and serving in Storehouse.
The ministry leader for Engine Room is Sara Browning. There are 4 teams who serve once a month, and commit on a yearly basis. We also have teams for set up, kid’s welcome and kid’s worship. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact Katie Rogers by emailing katie@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre and you will be introduced to Sara.
