DESCRIPTION:What is Alpha?\nAlpha is a tool built for local churches based on hospitality\, sharing and open conversation. The same Alpha content is run all over the world\, by Christians of all traditions\, and provides a common expression of proclamation\, service and witness. Millions of people have experienced Alpha in over 100 countries and over 100 languages around the globe. This is a 10-week course meeting weekly on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm. \nWhat does an Alpha Session look like?\nTalk\nThe Alpha talks are designed to engage people from all walks of life and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith and unpack the basics of Christian belief\, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”\, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?” \nDiscussion\nThe discussion time is an opportunity for people to respond to the talk\, hear from others\, and contribute their own perspective in an honest\, friendly\, and open environment. \nHow do I started? \nAll you need to do is sign up online. We will send you out a video to watch every week. You can watch this video as many times as you like\, but we ask that you watch it in full by the time we are meeting every week. Feel free to jot down any questions you may have and bring them to our weekly zoom call. We will break up into small groups\, being lead by our leaders and you can ask any questions you have. \nWe would love to see you there!

SUMMARY:Quiet Day - 'God Slipped In'
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Quiet Day as we step away from the busyness of our daily lives and allow time and space for God to speak to us just where we are. The Day will include some short reflective thoughts from Lila and Linda and space for personal reflection to allow God to do what he wants to do deep within us. \nDrumalis is a Retreat and Conference Centre in Larne. It is situated in spacious grounds overlooking the sea at the gateway to the scenic Antrim Coast Road. Its elevated wooded position ensures a tranquil and secluded environment for all types of retreat\, conference and workshop. The ministry of the Centre is one of reconciliation and nurturing. \nThe day will start at 9.45am with tea/coffee and will finish at 3.45pm.  Lunch (2 courses) followed by tea and coffee is included in the cost of the day. \nMaterials will be provided to help guide your reflections throughout the day. \nThe cost for the day including lunch\, refreshments and materials is £30. \n  \nAs spaces are limited it is advised to sign up as soon as possible.

DESCRIPTION:We are committing as a community to pray and fast throughout the week of 20 – 26 January. We will be crying out for God to stretch out his hand over our church and our city\, to heal\, to save and to provide for all that we need to see His Kingdom come. \nIf you would like to read up a bit more on what is fasting\, how to fast etc\, please click here. \nThroughout this week we will be gathering as a community in our city-centre venue on the following dates: \nTuesday 21 January 2020 – Evening 1 of our all Church Intercession Gathering. This will be held in our city centre venue (39 North Street\, BT1 1NA) at 7.30pm. \nThursday 23 January 2020 – Evening 2 of our all Church Intercession Gathering. This will be held in Cavehill Methodist\, 92-114 Cavehill Rd\, Belfast BT15 5BT\, at 7.30pm. \nSaturday 25 January 2020 – Throughout the day\, from 9am\, we will be opening a prayer room in our city centre venue (39 North Street\, BT1 1NA)\, to pray and seek the Father’s heart for our church family\, city and beyond. You can pray for 30 minutes or as long as you want.
