ABOUT US
Our Story
.jpeg)
Belfast City Vineyard was planted in 1996 by Philip and Jackie Corrigan. In 2001, Andy and Harmony Smith moved to Belfast to join the church after training and spending time at Evanston Vineyard in Chicago, USA. They went on to become the leaders of Belfast City Vineyard in 2002.
After meeting in a number of venues across Belfast over the years, we are delighted to now have a home on Cavehill Road. The building was originally a Methodist church and has been a place of worship since the 1950s. We purchased it in 2022 and, following extensive renovations, opened the doors in March 2023.
It is an honour to steward this place of worship and to continue the story of God's presence on this site.

What we value
We are all being formed spiritually.
We are all becoming something. What we worship, what we trust, what we love, and what we build our identity around is forming us, whether we realise it or not.
As followers of Jesus, we want to be intentionally formed by him. A disciple is someone who learns from Jesus how to live — not simply learning about him, but becoming his friend and learning to live his way.
This kind of formation doesn't happen by accident. As we cultivate friendship with Jesus and develop rhythms that keep us close to him, we are changed from the inside out.
We were never meant to follow Jesus alone.
From the youngest to the oldest, we all have a deep need to belong, to be known and to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
Following Jesus is a shared journey. We need people who will encourage us in our gifts, support us in our weaknesses and lovingly challenge us to become more like Jesus. We need places where we can serve one another, take risks, discover our calling and grow in relationships with people who know our stories.
Community is where we become part of God's bigger story of redemption, hope and love in a local context.Every person carries something of God's presence and has something to contribute. We believe our church is richer and more complete when everyone can bring their whole self.
What God does in us is meant to overflow into everything around us.
Formation and community don't exist simply for our own benefit. As individuals and as a church family, we want the life of Jesus in us to make a difference in the world around us.
We want to leave a Kingdom legacy in our families, our workplaces, our neighbourhoods and our city. We want Belfast to be a different place because Jesus has planted us here.
That means carrying his presence wherever we go — serving our neighbours, caring for those who are vulnerable, building flourishing workplaces, loving our city and inviting others to discover life with Jesus.
We want to see people and communities flourish. We want to see Belfast. And we want the impact of what God is doing among us to reach across the island of Ireland and around the world.
We believe that life with Jesus impacts everything.
PARTNER CHARITY
Storehouse

We are committed to is partnering with God to impact our city.
Storehouse was established in BCV in 2008. Storehouse provides emergency food, clothes and furniture to those in need across our city. But much more than that we seek to see community established with the marginalised and dignity restored where poverty and injustice have stolen it away. We’d love to invite you to join with us in serving our city.
