Safeguarding

At Belfast City Vineyard, we are committed to creating a safe environment, characterised by love and trust, where everyone is treated with dignity, care and respect.

We take our responsibility to safeguard children, young people and adults at risk of harm seriously, and are committed to responding appropriately to any safeguarding concerns or allegations.

Our safeguarding policy sets out the principles, procedures and good practice that guide how we seek to protect and care for those in our church and ministries.

Have a safeguarding concern?

If you have a safeguarding concern, you can speak to one of our Safeguarding Team or complete our Safeguarding Disclosure Report Form. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong before raising a concern. If you're worried, we'd rather you got in touch.

Contact our Safeguarding Team:

What happens when you raise a concern?

We will listen to your concern, take it seriously and consider what action is needed to help keep people safe. We will treat information sensitively and respect confidentiality wherever possible. There may be circumstances where information needs to be shared with others in order to protect someone from harm.

Need support?

Whatever you're facing, you don't have to face it alone. If something has happened to you, you're worried about someone else, or you're simply not sure where to turn, we're here to help you find the right support. You don't need to have everything figured out before asking for help. If you're looking for support with something else, you can find more help and resources on our Support page.

Are you in immediate danger?

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 999.

If it is safe and appropriate to do so, you can also contact a member of our safeguarding team. You do not need to wait to contact the emergency services.

What kind of support are you looking for?

You might be looking for help for yourself, or you may be worried about someone else. Choose the option that feels closest to what you're experiencing:

Not sure where to start?

That's okay. You don't have to know exactly what kind of help you need. If you'd like to talk to someone at BCV, we're happy to listen and help you work out what support might be right for you.

You are not alone.

Sometimes the hardest part of struggling is telling someone. Whatever you're facing, we're glad you've reached out. You don't need to have the right words, and you don't need to know exactly what you need before asking for help.

Talk to someone.
